conference notes

A couple notes from my favorite conference talk so far. This is just what I got from it, not direct quotes.

Elder Hirst
When we love each other completely, Heaven gets involved too.

Jesus removes shame from the broken. His atonement was achieved through His suffering. He was broken for us. The sacremental broken bread represents that. No one looks at His suffering and says it's shameful. His suffering is ours. There is no shame in being broken. That's why He did what He did.

Jesus is in that loneliest place in your life. He is already there. He's already carried it and lived it. He's prepared that place to meet you. Those lowest, hardest places are sanctified as places we connect most deeply with Jesus Christ through His atonement.
