repair the prayer

Think Celestial!
By President Russell M. Nelson

"Our prayers can be—and should be—living discussions with our Heavenly Father." Pres nelson

"Morning and evening prayers—and all of the prayers in between—are not unrelated, discrete events; rather, they are linked together each day and across days, weeks, months, and even years. This is in part how we fulfill the scriptural admonition to “pray always” (Luke 21:36; 3 Nephi 18:15, 18; D&C 31:12). Such meaningful prayers are instrumental in obtaining the highest blessings God holds in store for His faithful children."
Morning and Evening Prayers
By Elder David A. Bednar
Adapted from an October 2008 general conference address

I love the point that elder bednar makes and expands in this article. Our prayers are ongoing conversations. Sometimes prayers become quick check ins repeating the same basic things. "Same stuff, different day - amen". Even though life is often the same stuff on different days, spiritual progression shouldn't be. I'm feeling pretty stuck and this is probably why. I remember elder bednar's talk where he said to plan the day with the Lord in the morning and report back in the evening. It made my days different. I think the primary answers often fall into routine so this remined me to fix up my prayers a bit. I know it will make a difference.
